For over 20 years, Crown Celebrations had offered party and wedding planning to clients in the Peak District. The Managing Director, Patrick, decided to expand into selling fancy dress costumes, and Cheapest Fancy Dress was born.
We began by analysing the website and the market to devise a plan of action based on short, medium and long-term goals. By doing this, we were able to start driving relevant traffic to the website over a short period of time.
One of the strategies we used to help generate the national results that Cheapest Fancy Dress wanted was content creation based on popular categories of fancy dress. We targeted these both in terms of well-searched key terms and available fancy dress items.
In addition to the on-site work, we also carried out a wealth of competitor analysis and link diagnostics to see where improvements could be made.
We also provided Patrick with a number of recommendations to help improve his backlink profile, and suggested changes to enhance the usability of the website — such as product optimisation and clearer calls to action. We believed implementing these changes would increase online orders and generate more revenue.
