It’s a landmark birthday for FirstFound as we’re celebrating 21 years in business on the 1st of March. We’ve come a long way over the years, so we just wanted to share the journey with our many customers and say a big thanks for helping us become one of the most respected and longest established SEO companies in the UK.
Where it all started
Back in 2000 our two founders, Chris and Ivan, recognised the importance of the internet and search engines in particular for helping companies attract new customers. From a small office in Manchester, equipped with a few phones, computers, and the internet it wasn’t long before FirstFound began helping businesses see results online.
What happened next
The company continued to expand and by 2003 we had taken offices in St James’s Buildings, which is where we have been ever since. Between 2008 and 2010 we diversified our services to include complementary digital solutions for our clients. These new services included Google Ads, web design and development, and copywriting.
By 2010 we had helped over 5000 businesses and grown our team to cover the extra demand for our services. In 2014 we launched our social media service which enabled us to evolve into a full service digital agency. Following a large office expansion in 2016, the company had continued to grow and to date we have helped over 10000 businesses to boost their online visibility.
Chris Bellamy, Managing Director, had this to say about the landmark birthday “The past 21 years has been an amazing journey for us as a company. We’ve seen the digital landscape change drastically as the internet has grown from 17.1 million websites in 2000 to 1.2 billion in 2020. As one of the early pioneers of SEO, we’ve continued to put innovation at the heart of what we do which has helped us grow as a business.”
“Our vision is still the same now as it was when we first started business ‘To enable all businesses, regardless of size, to succeed in the digital world.’ “
“We want to save businesses from overpriced SEO, we appreciate many businesses can’t afford to spend thousands of pounds a month on promoting their websites. That’s why FirstFound is still focusing on making our services as affordable as possible, so that we can help start-ups and smaller companies to thrive online.”
“It is not just a matter of being at the top of a search page – you have to be at the top of the right search page.”
